Medical Faculty Studentship Fund Parami Organisation’ Scholarship
Amount                      :   Rs. 500/- per month

No. of Scholarships    :   5

Criteria                       :   First year needy

Students conditions     :  

Maximum period of 5 years to be paid in 10 instalments per year.

The grant of the studentship shall cease forthwith, if the particulars furnished by the beneficiary are found to be false or incorrect.

The applicant should not be a recipient of any other grant.

If for any reason the studentship of any student is cancelled by the Board of Administrators he/she shall be asked to pay back the amount he/she had received from the fund up to that time.

Mendis Mackwoods Charity Fund Nalini Madugalla Eramudugolla Scholarship

Amount                        :   Rs. 750/- per month

Criteria                         :   First year needy students

Conditions                    :   Maximum period of 5y

 

Amount                        :    Rs. 1600/=r month          

No. of Scholarships      :    2

Criteria                         :    First year, Kandyan, Sinhala, Buddhist, needy students

Conditions                    :              

Maximum period of 5 years, 10 installments per year and 50 for the duration of the course.

Receipients of Mahapola/Bursary or any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Buddhist Society Scholarships AAUP Studentship Awards  
The Buddhist Society Scholarships, though the amount and number of scholarships have not been mentioned, will grant scholarships to first year Buddhist students engaged in Buddhist activities and are experiencing financial hardships as certified by the Divisional Secretary or Grama Sevaka.  Progress reports of these students should be submitted to the Buddhist Society at the end of the year.

The AAUP Studentship grants the following scholarships to all faculties except No.(viii) given below.  Each scholarship is available to one needy student except No. (ix) at the rate of Rs.3000/- per year to be paid in two installments.

Commonwealth Foundation Medical Electives Bursaries Dehiwala Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council Scholarships
Commonwealth Foundation Medical Electives Bursaries are given to two    final year medical students who are nationals of a commonwealth country at the rate of £ 1000. Dehiwala Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council Scholarships are awarded to ten students who had been permanent residence at Dehiwala – Mt. Lavinia for over five years and also experience financial hardship.  The annual income of his/her parents should be less than Rs.48, 000/= or between 48,000/= and 50,000/= if 3 or more siblings are schooling or between Rs.54, 000/= and 60,000/= if 01 or more siblings are undergraduates (who are not in recipients of another award/scholarship) of any University.  The recipient should be able to prove the above facts beyond any doubt.  The amount fixed for this scholarship is Rs.500/= per month.
Endowed Scholarships (U.G.C.) PeMSAA Scholarships

The Endowed Scholarships (U.G.C) grants the following scholarships at the rate of Rs.14500/= per year.  Recipients of Mahapola/Bursary or any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.

1. K Inamura Memorial scholarship

K Inamura Memorial Scholarship is awarded to three needy students on the performance at the G.C.E.A/L examination and depending on parental income. 

2. Brook bomd scholarship

Brook Bond Scholarship is awarded to one student who had obtained high aggregate marks at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination and reading for a degree in Medicine, Engineering or lower Agriculture.   

3.  Adeline Munasinghe scholarship

Adeline Munasinghe Scholarship is awarded to one needy student from the following categories in the order of priority, attaching a letter from the Principal.

a.   Student from Dharmashoka College. Ambalangoda.

b.   Student from Sri Palee College, Horana.

c.   Student from Visaka Vidyalaya, Colombo.

d.  A student from Museus College, Colombo.

e.   Buddhist monk

f.   A student from Southern Province following a course of study in Medicine.

PeMSA scholarship is awarded to ten needy students at the rate of Rs.500/- per month for a maximum period of 5 years.
Sri Lankan Doctors in UK Scholarship Kandy Doctor’s Wives Association
Sri Lankan Doctor’s in UK scholarship is awarded to two first year needy students at the rate of Rs.11,500/- per year for a maximum period of 5 years  He should also not be a recipient of another award/scholarship except Mahapola.  Kandy Doctor’s Wives Association grants two scholarships at the rate of Rs.1000/- per month for a maximum period of five years to two first year students not in receipt of any other scholarship Mahapola/Bursary.
