I undertook my elective at peradeniya hospital for nearly 4 weeks in the  general medicine ward. Prior to the appointment I didnt know what to expect.  I was reassured however by the very organised and simple application process.  The appointment itself was excellent as I got to see signs that I have never  seen and would very rarely see in Australia. Seeing so many signs each day was  the highlight of my appointment. The doctors and medical students were  welcoming and helpful. The ward rounds, tutorials and bed side teaching was  also beneficial and they are all taught in English.  Peradeniya itself is a nice place and the weather is nice.  I would highly  recommend doing an elective at Peradrniya hospital.
