3rd conference of South Asian Association of Physiologists (SAAP-3) 2012: Post-congress workshop on ‘Clinical Neurophysiological Techniques’
 
The ‘3rd Conference of South Asian Association of Physiologists (SAAP-3) 2012 post-congress workshop on ‘Clinical Neurophysiological Techniques’ was held successfully on 10th November 2012 at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. The registrants included researchers and academics from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The resource persons Prof. Nimal Senanayake from the Department of Medicine, Prof. Vajira Weerasinghe, Dr. Indu Nanayakkara and Dr. Tharaka Dassanayake from the Department of Physiology and Prof. Michael Sedgwick from the University of Southampton UK provided an overview of theory and applications of clinical neurophysiological techniques and conducted hands-on sessions on a number of neurophysiological techniques including EMG, transcranial magnetic stimulation, evoked potentials and event-related potentials.
