Opening Ceremony of the ‘Clinical Research Laboratories’  of the Faculty of Medicine

31st March 2015  was another blissful day of achievements of  the Faculty of Medicine , University of Peradeniya. University of Peradeniya has been rated as the leading university in the country, according to the ‘University Ranking by Academic Performance’(URAP) , which takes into account the number of research articles published, citations, journal impact, journal citation impact and international collaboration. In the  field  of Medicine  Peradeniya is ranked number one in the country.  
The new addition to the Faculty of Medicine; ‘The  Clinical Research Laboratories’,  which was built from the funds earned from the  international student population  of the faculty during the last decade or so would certainly propel  us to a very high level of achievement in the scientific world, and  also would further elevate our position  in the world ranking.
Two stories of this three storied building complex was completed and was declared open   by Prof Athula Senaratne, the Vice Chancellor , University of Peradeniya  in the presence of Prof. M D Lamawansa, Dean , Faculty of Medicine, Former Dean, Dr A.G. Buthpitiya and academic and non academic staff members of the faculty
