Establishment of the Postgraduate School of Medical Sciences, University of Peradeniya

Faculty of Medicine through the extremely committed efforts of its academic and non academic staff members,  have established the second Postgraduate Institute in the field of  medicine in Sri Lanka. This institution was established directly under the University of Peradeniya , under  a Director, and a Board of Management , in which the members represent the Faculty of Medicine, Ministry of Health and the University Council. Prof. Chandrika  Jayasinghe, from the Department of Medicine, University of Peradeniya  was appointed  as the first Director of the Postgraduate School of Medical Sciences. The first Board of Management meeting was held on 26th February 2015.
