Professor Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, the Dean of the Medical and Dental School, Pakistan, who is also the President of the SAARC Surgical Care Society, and Professor Rakesh Werma, immediate past President of the Society of Surgeons of Nepal and also the President elect of the SAARC Surgical Care Society visited the Faculty of Medicine, Peradeniya and made a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor. The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Peradeniya discussed with the visiting delegation on the common issues related to medical education in our countries and also discussed student exchange and research collaboration.
Professor Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, informed that the faculty of Dental and Medical School, Lahore is willing to entertain students from the Faculty of Medicine, and Dental Sciences, Peradeniya to entertain students under student exchange programme.
He further said that food and lodging for our students will be arranged free of charge in the newly established housing facilities in his school.
