	HETC funded IT Workshop
	An HETC funded IT workshop held at the IT center of the University of Peradeniya, on 23rd of September from 8.00am – 4.00pm. The event stated with an effective introduction by Ms. Dinesha Weragama, lecturer, IT center Prof. Saluka Kodithuwakku, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science, introduced the new online distant learning & teaching program MOODLE. Afternoon session consisted of developing advanced presentations, advanced searching - how to use search engines effectively to find the correct information and new methodologies in teaching. This session is conducted by Ms. Dinesha Weragama. About 25 participants including both academic and technical staff from the Faculty of Medicine participated at the event. The second workshop will be held on 11th of October (Friday) 8.00am onwards at the IT center.
