The role of the Faculty scholarship committee is to assist students of the Medical Faculty with financial difficulties after collecting relevant details of students and assessing their suitability for financial and other assistance.
Students who are experiencing financial difficulties that might affect their studies in the Medical Faculty are encouraged to apply for assistance using the standard application form (click here to download) available at the Dean’s office that can also be downloaded from the webpage of the Faculty Scholarships Committee. Notices advertising available scholarships will be displayed on the faculty website and notice boards. This usually occurs after the entry of a new batch but can occur at any time during the year when new scholarships become available. Once the notice is displayed requesting the students to apply, a letter justifying the need for financial assistance and the duly completed, signed application form with attachments if relevant should be submitted by hand or sent by registered post to the Dean’s office before the stipulated date. Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarships.
