Factors affecting the size
of a contusion:

Natural diseases such as vascular fragility (Easy bruising syndrome),
leukemia, scurvy, hemophilia, hypertension, arteriosclerosis and
coagulability
- Conditions prolonging
the clotting profile (liver diseases, bleeding disorders)
- Amount of extravasated blood
- Laxity
of tissues , e.g. less amount of force cause large area of contusion in
scrotum , periorbital region
