  • Penetration of the object  into the air passage --> Obstruction of the air way -->Failure to expel once obstruction has occurred.  
     
  • •Vagal stimulation
    •Asphyxia – air way obstruction

 

  • Signs:
•              - Stridor
•              - Respiratory distress
•              - Coughing
•              - Choking
•              - Inability to speak
