Research Interest

Opportunisitc infections in immunocompromised hosts, including infections due to Strongyloides stercoralis, Pneumocystis jiroveci and protozoa.

Teaching Experience


  1. Medical Parasitology since 1996 in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayawardenepura and University of Jaffna. Infection Module in Beyond 2004 New Curriculum at the University of Peradeniya.
  2. Visiting lecturer - Nursing and medical laboratory sciences students in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Peradeniya.
