On July 22, 2025, a lunch event was organized for elective students at the Peradeniya Rest House. Fifteen students participating in short-term elective placements at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, attended the gathering. The students represented diverse international backgrounds, traveling from Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, and Northern Ireland.
