The Faculty of Medicine football team delivered a memorable performance at the 2025 Interfaculty Football Tournament held on 22nd November at the University Football Ground, University of Peradeniya. After years of near misses, the team returned with renewed determination, disciplined training, and outstanding team spirit. A dominant 3-0 victory over the Faculty of Arts set the tone, followed by a hard-fought 2-1 defeat against the Faculty of Engineering during the group stage. Having qualified for the knockout rounds, the team bounced back in style with a convincing 3-1 win over the Faculty of Management in the semifinals. The campaign concluded with a sensational performance in the final, as the Faculty of Medicine dismantled the Faculty of Science 7-0 to clinch the championship. This emphatic triumph stands as a true testament to the resilience, quality, and fighting spirit of the team. Kinley Y.
