Mini-Exhibition on Infectious Diseases, Antimicrobials and Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance
The Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya successfully organized a mini-exhibition in conjunction with World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) 2025 on 18 November 2025.
The event aimed to raise awareness among non-academic staff, as well as early-year medical students, on key concepts related to infectious diseases and use of antimicrobials. The exhibition highlighted the global importance of AMR and included activities that prompt participants to think of how they could contribute to prevent AMR through a quiz in the form of a game.
The Department of Microbiology extends its appreciation to all staff and students who participated and contributed to the successful conduct of this educational initiative.
