The Staff Sports Competition 2025 was held from July to November, bringing together staff members from across the university for an energetic season of evening sporting events. Despite frequent rainy days and challenging weather conditions, the participants displayed remarkable dedication, ensuring the competition continued without interruption.

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Peradeniya achieved remarkable success during this year's events. The faculty secured victories in table tennis, women's walking, women's running (over 40 category), and women's running (below 40 category), showcasing their commitment, teamwork, and athletic excellence.

The award ceremony was held on November 18, 2025, at the University Gymnasium. The Honourable Acting Vice-Chancellor attended the event to present awards to the winners. Winners - Senior Professor Dinesh Fernando, Professor Samath Dharmaratne, Dr. Thilina Samarasinghe, Dr. Manjula Peiris, Dr. Chathula Wickramasinghe, Ms. Nimasha Wijekoon, Ms. Asha Wijenayake, Ms. Kumari Niroshani, Ms. Gayani Seneviratne, Ms. Lasanthika Herath.
