A meeting and discussion on the responsible use of AI in Medical education what should be the way forward. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Chinthaka Balasooriya, a former professor in the University of New South Wales Australia and a ANZAPHE fellow on 9th April 2026 in the faculty Board room. It was attended by 11 academic staff members of the faculty of Medicine and the group consensus was students and teachers should use the AI facility that is available judiciously. Responsible use of AI has many benefits, it helps in time management and improving the quality of work thus students and staff should be trained to reap maximum benefits. The meeting was organized and coordinated by the Dept of medical education.
