Niigata Summer Exchange Programme - Through Niigata-Peradeniya Collaborations
This initiative aims to establish short-term clinical training opportunities for undergraduate medical students from the University of Niigata, Japan, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, and the Teaching Hospital, Peradeniya.
As part of this programme, three medical students from Niigata University, accompanied by university authorities, participated in clinical training - Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology,Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics and Para Clinical with Parasitology, academic discussions, cultural exchange activities and hiking during their stay in Sri Lanka. This collaborative effort seeks to strengthen academic ties, promote global exposure, and enhance mutual understanding between the two institutions.
Four of our final-year students visited Niigata, and we welcomed three students from Japan.
