The Inter-Medical Faculty Cricket Encounter between the Medical Faculty, University of Peradeniya and the Medical Faculty, University of Rajarata concluded on the 18th January at the Rajarata University Ground, Mihintale with a comprehensive victory for Peradeniya in a one-sided contest.

Batting first, Peradeniya posted a total of 128/10 in 38.2 overs. The innings was anchored by the solid partnership of Tharusha Hasaranga who top-scored with a composed 37 runs and Yasith Hiruvinda provided valuable support with 32 runs, helping Peradeniya build a defendable total.

In reply, Rajarata struggled against a relentless Pera bowling attack and were bowled out for 56 runs in 18.5 overs. The chase was decisively dismantled by Tharusha Hasaranga, who produced a remarkable bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets for just 3 runs, well supported by Yasith Hiruvinda, who returned figures of 2 Wickets for 4 Runs.
