The Professor Senaka Bibile Memorial oration and the 55th Anniversary Celebration of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation of Sri Lanka (SPC) were held on 30 September 2026 at the Sri Lanka Foundation. The event was organized to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation and to honour the invaluable contribution made by Professor Senaka Bibile through his National Medicinal Drug Policy and his immense contribution to the healthcare sector.

Continuing the vision and legacy of Professor Senaka Bibile, the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation once again awarded the Professor Senaka Bibile Memorial Scholarships to 11 outstanding medical students selected from universities across the island.

Miss. D.K.H.Y. Dassanayaka, from our faculty (2020/2021 batch) was among the recipients and was awarded the Professor Senaka Bibile Memorial Scholarship.
