Professor Chamara Dalugama Delivers Plenary Lecture at SLMA Foundation Sessions 2026
Professor Chamara Dalugama of the Department of Medicine, delivered a plenary lecture at the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) Foundation Sessions 2026, organised in collaboration with the Kandy Society of Medicine (KSM). The event was held at The Grand Kandyan Hotel, Kandy, on 17 October 2026.
His lecture, titled "Beyond LDL-C: The New Frontiers of Lipid Management - Who Needs More Than a Statin?", explored evolving approaches to lipid management, with a focus on residual cardiovascular risk beyond conventional LDL cholesterol reduction and the role of emerging therapeutic strategies in improving cardiovascular outcomes.
