CPR TRAINING FOR THE NEW BATCH OF INTERN MEDICAL OFFICERS - 2013
The College of Anesthesiologists of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Ministry of Health conducted two days workshop for medical students who have completed the Final MBBS Examination and had to be taking up their 1st appointment (internship) in the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka in 2013.
Program was held on 1st and 2nd November 2013 at the Main Auditorium Teaching Hospital Peradeniya.
Dr. Vasanthi Pinto, Consultant Anaesthetist (Head, Department of Anaesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, Peradeniya) and Dr. Ravi Weerakoon, Consultant Anaesthetist (General Hospital, Kandy) were Course coordinators of the above workshop.

  • Airway in resuscitation
  • Basic Life Support
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support
  • Peri-arrest arrhythmias
  • Cardiac Arrest in Special Circumstances
  • Hands on Training – BLS, ACLS
  • Video Demonstration
  • MCQ
  • Skills Assessment
Ultimately a certificate awarded for successful candidates
