Re: Award of Second Class Upper and Lower at the Final MBBS Examination
Faculty Board of Medicine at its 338th meeting held on 8th July 2009 approved the above and the same was approved at the Senate at its 344th Meeting held on 11th November 2009 (ST/344/8.5.1/11). This will be implemented from the 2007/08 batch onwards.

Marking Scheme is as follows

First Class	to those with an average mark 70 or above
Second Class (Upper Division)	to those with an average mark 65-69
Second Class (Lower Division)	to those with an average mark 60-64
