Research Interests
  • I work on molecular, virological and immune dynamics of dengue virus infection in Sri Lanka, molecular, virological and immune dynamics of SARS CoV-2 infection in Sri Lanka, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the epidemiology of respiratory viral infections in Sri Lanka, the impact of viral pathogens in respiratory diseases / viral burden in children and adults in Sri Lanka, serological dynamics in HBV post-vaccination in different sets of healthcare workers in Sri Lanka, evaluation of rapid viral diagnostic assays (immune-chromatography based assays) using standard assays as comparators and evaluation of molecular and immunological diagnostic methods in relation to test indices for different viral infections using validated standard assays as comparators.
