Clinical Services
The University Department of Surgery provides out patient and inpatient services in the following areas.
- General Surgery
- Gastrointestinal Surgery (both upper and lower)
- Vascular and transplant surgery (renal transplantation both in adults and children)
- Trauma and emergency surgery
- Urological surgery
- Breast and endocrine surgery
The teaching hospital, Peradeniya (800 bedded hospital) provides the facilities for all above clinical services with inward bed strength of 96 for surgical patients. |
