Ginnoruwa 1.2 Study
Ginnoruwa 1.2 study was held on 25th to 26th January 2022. This was a extension of Ginnoruwa study which held on 2018. We have visited Ginnoruwa to collect urine samples and data from the kids who have participated in phase 01 of the study. Our objective was to determine the creatinine/ micro-albumin ratio of the kids and compare the value with the previous value as there were few kids with a higher value.
World Kidney Day 2022
The main purpose was to increase the awareness of CKD and to educate the crucial facts regarding the disease among the normal population. As a result, we prepared a pamphlet that contains information about CKD, its importance, symptoms, risk factors and preventative measures.
Kandy District CKD Prevalence Study 2022
We initiated a screening program in the Kandy district as a pilot research study since there was no previous data on the prevalence of CKD in Kandy. The major goal of this study is to find out the people who have been affected by CKD and are unaware of their condition. As a result, we've started this study to screen the residents of Kandy.
