The Department of Pharmacology in collaboration with Divisional Hospital, Kadugannawa successfully conducted the health education programmes for school teachers and parents. These programmes were conducted on 27.09.2017 at National School Kadugannawa, 02.10.2017 at Primary School Menikdiwela and 11.10.2017 at Deerananda Vidyalaya, Pilimatalawa.

Health Education on Nutrition for children and prevention of cancers was carried out. Resource persons were Dr. Thilanka Seneviratne, Senior Lecturer/ Consultant Paediatrician and Dr. Kosala Somaratne, Consultant Surgeon.

Educational books, ‘lama poshanaya’ which was written by Dr. Thilanka Seneviratne was donated to libraries of the above schools as well.
