Dr. Thilanka Seneviratne MBBS, DCH, MD, MRCPCH. Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, with a strong focus on simulation based teaching. She serves as the Coordinator of the MD program in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine in Colombo.
Her research interests include artificial intelligence in healthcare, simulation-based medical education, allergy and immuno-pharmacology. She has authored and presented award-winning research at national and international forums. She is a consistent contributor, as an international resource person, to the Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC). She is a founder member of the Asia Pacific Biomedical Science Educators Association (APBSEA).
Dr. Thilanka Seneviratne leads the multidisciplinary AI Research Centre in Healthcare and Wellbeing at the University of Peradeniya, where she is pioneering the development of AI-based tools to support medical education and clinical decision-making.

Prof. Sanjeewani Fonseka, MD, PhD, is a professor and borad- certified consultant dermatologist in department of Pharmaccology, Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Udaya Dangahadeniya, MBBS, MD, is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, where he contributes to teaching clinical and medical pharmacology and supports undergraduate and postgraduate learning. His research interests include neuropharmacology and he has published work cited in neurology-related case studies and clinical research. Dr. Dangahadeniya also engages in community education and multidisciplinary academic activities within the department.

Dr. Yasitha Arosha Illangasekera, MBChB, PhD (UK), is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. Dr. Illangasekera teaches basic and clinical pharmacology to undergraduate medical and allied health students. He provides supervision to both undergraduate rand postgraduate research projects and serves as an examiner for Mphil and PhD degrees . His faculty leadership roles have included serving as Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Head of the Faculty e-Library, and Senior Student Counsellor. He was also instrumental in initiating and developing the faculty soft skills 9co-gegenric skills) program. He has also contributed to institutional quality assurance processes and currently serves in several faculty- and university-level committees. Dr Illangasekera’s research interests lie in clinical and translational pharmacology, with particular emphasis on pharmacogenomics, obesity, diabetes & endocrine pharmacology. His work integrates molecular, clinical, and population-based approaches to advance understanding of pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine. He is actively engaged in several collaborative research projects in partnership with institutions in the United Kingdom. He is also interested in integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence in teaching and research.

Gayana Amiyangoda, MD (Medicine), MRCP (UK), MRCP (Diabetes & Endocrinology), is a Lecturer in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, and a board-certified Consultant Endocrinologist. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Colombo in 2018 and completed her overseas post-MD training at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM), Oxford University Hospitals, UK, from 2022 to 2024. Her primary research interests include lipidology, therapeutics in endocrinology, gestational diabetes, and thyroid disorders. She has published widely in national and international journals and has contributed to several national clinical guidelines of the Sri Lanka College of Endocrinologists.
