Prof. D. M. Dissanayake ,Ph. D, MD- Haematology, D. Path , is Chair & Senior Professor of Pathology (Haematology) in the Department of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, where she leads teaching, research, and clinical training in pathology and haematology. She has substantial expertise in haemoglobinopathies, nutritional anaemia, toxicology, and chronic renal failure of unknown aetiology, contributing to the understanding of disease mechanisms and diagnostic pathology in Sri Lanka. Prof. Dissanayake is dedicated to undergraduate and postgraduate education and plays a pivotal role in advancing laboratory medicine and research excellence within the faculty.

Prof. Roshitha Waduge, MBBS, MD (Histopathology), Fellow of College of Pathologists Sri Lanka, is a respected Professor in Pathology at the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, specializing in histopathology and diagnostic pathology. She contributes significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate education, clinical diagnostics, and research, including disease mechanisms and tissue pathology in local populations with special interests in Neuromuscular diseases. Prof. Waduge’s work enhances pathology teaching and laboratory practice and is reflected in peer-reviewed publications and collaborative studies. She supports evidence-based medicine, clinical case interpretation, and ongoing professional development within the department and wider medical community.

Dr. T.M.A.H. Tennakoon, MBBS, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer with expertise in experimental and molecular pathology at the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, where she teaches pathology and contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate training. Her research focuses on liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and molecular mechanisms of disease, strengthening diagnostic and translational pathology. She actively participates in academic research, scientific presentations, and collaborative pathology projects that advance clinical and laboratory practice.

Dr. R.M.P.M. Rathnayake, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, where she contributes to clinical teaching, undergraduate and postgraduate pathology education, and haemato-pathology research. Her work includes investigations into haematological disorders and disease patterns in Sri Lankan populations, strengthening diagnostic pathology and evidence-based laboratory practice. Dr. Rathnayake is actively involved in academic research collaborations and mentoring students in pathology and laboratory medicine.

Dr. G. S. S. Hegoda, is a Lecturer in the Department of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, contributing to both teaching and research in diagnostic pathology. She has co-authored pathology research including audits on muscle biopsies and histopathological analyses within the department. Dr. Hegoda actively supports undergraduate and postgraduate education and engages in clinical research that enhances pathological understanding and patient care in Sri Lanka’s premier medical faculty.

Dr. Sachinthana Sumanasekara, is an Acting Pathologist and Lecturer in Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. She obtained her MD in Histopathology from the University of Colombo in 2024 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2025. She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and contributes to research and scholarly activities in pathology, supporting excellence in medical education and research.
