  Dr. Deepthi Edussuirya was awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy on “Effectiveness of the undergraduate Forensic Medicine curriculum for Medico Legal work in Sri Lanka” with effect from 08.07.2013. To our knowledge she is the only person in Sri Lanka who has a PhD in Forensic Medicine.
