  • Dr. Udara Kularatne visits the Department of Radiology.
    “Engineer from Monash turned Doctor from Cambridge”

    • Dr. Udara Kularatne, one of the UK’s best Diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiologists visited the Department of Radiology, Faculty of medicine, University of Peradeniya on the 26th of October 2023.
    His generous volunteering to share his vast knowledge to the medical students of Peradeniya University is greatly appreciated.





  • Essential Radiology for Surgeons - October 2023


  • Prof Badra Hewavithana participated in the Radiological technologist 75th anniversary celebration as the Chief guest and delivered the keynote address.


  • Pelvic MRI for Surgeons - May 2022
    ‘Pelvic MRI for Surgeons’ workshop organized by the College of Surgeons and Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya was started on 20th August and 3 sessions were conducted successfully on zoom platform with good participation.


  • Young Radiologist forum organized by the Department of Radiology
    The Young Radiologist Forum was successfully conducted on the 3rd of July 2022 via the Zoom platform, with a lecture on 'Updates on Breast Imaging by Dr. Madurika Kavirathne (Fellowship in Breast imaging), Acting Consultant Radiologist at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama. 46 participants attended online.

  • Essential Radiology for Surgeons - May 2022
    The course was successfully conducted online for the second consecutive year in collaboration with the central chapter of the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka.
