Showcasing Academic Activities Following UIC–UoP–SVL Clinical Teaching Workshop (March–April 2025)

Background

The UIC–UoP–SVL partnership aims to build long-term collaboration in advancing clinical teaching and medical education through innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). As an outcome of the Clinical Teaching Workshop held in March–April 2025, participants were encouraged to incorporate strategies discussed during the workshop into their academic work in teaching, learning, and research.

Objective

This webpage will serve as a dedicated platform under the Medical Education Unit (MEU) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, to highlight, share, and celebrate the diverse academic initiatives inspired by the workshop.

Goals
  • Sustain workshop outcomes for future collaborations
  • Promote visibility of academic innovations among local and international stakeholders for them to comment
  • Facilitate peer-to-peer collaboration and cross-institutional mentorship
  • Build a resource archive of AI-enhanced teaching practices and research initiatives
We’d Love to Showcase Your Work!

Share your creativity, insights, and achievements with us! We are inviting submissions in any of the following formats:

  •  Short Write-ups - Around 200 words, sharing your personal reflections or summarizing how you implemented your ideas following the workshop held
  •  Posters – Include photos of your classroom sessions, PBL activities, or other engaging moments.
  •  Flyers or Educational Materials – Resources you’ve created to inspire or guide learning.
  •  Presentations or Videos – PowerPoint slides, recorded lectures, or creative video content.
  •  Research & Publications – Pilot studies, innovative projects, or published work related to medical education that were nourished with experience gained after the workshop.

 

Whether big or small, your contribution can inspire others and spark new ideas.
