ACTIVITIES 2025
February
- A case conference was conducted in the board room of the department on 21.02.2025 to discuss the future management of a child, with the participation of multiple external officials.
- Annual Editorial Board meeting of the Sri Lanka Journal of Forensic Medicine, Science & Law was held on 19.02.2025 in the court house of the department, with international members joining virtually via Zoom.

Human Resource Development Unit (HRDU) of the University of Peradeniya (UOP) successfully conducted the Staff Excellence Awards Ceremony on February 18th, 2025 at the SCS Auditorium of the University.
January
- Dr. Collin Seneviratne, a former staff member of the Department of Forensic Medicine, donated a valuable book on Forensic Toxicology to the department on 30th January 2025.
- Prof. Dinesh gave a lecture on Management of the dead disasters at Sri Lanka Army Centre for Disaster Response Training, Gampola on 28th January 2025.
- Prof. Kodikara attending the Award Ceremony of Postgraduate Forensic Medicine Research Sessions - 2024 on 18th January 2025 at PGIM
- Farewell to Ms. Hashini Fernando following her service as a Temporary Lecturer in the department for 6 months.
- An educational visit to the Department of Forensic Medicine by a group of students of Viharamahadevi Girls' College, Kandy on 17th January 2025.
- An educational tour to the Department of Forensic Medicine by a group of students of medical branch sailors and their directing staff members of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee, on 6th January 2025.
- Diploma in Forensic Medicine - the inauguration of the 10th batch and the certificate awarding ceremony for the 9th batch were held on 2nd January 2025.
- New Year celebrations at the Department of Forensic Medicine on 1st January 2025.
